Public service has defined my life, from the Navy, to the Medford City Council, to helping veterans and families find stability, to teaching in our public schools.

​

A Champion for Southern Oregon University - I will be a tireless advocate for SOU, which is a pillar of our community, and generates $282 million yearly in economic impact.

​

Addressing the Homelessness and Housing – My advocacy helped create 819 low-income/transitional housing units and 277 shelter beds since 2019. I have worked to distribute $16.5 million in grant funding to local organizations.

​

Increasing Childcare Options – I have led the way to promote childcare scholarship grants, and supporting the expansion of the Children’s Museum/KidTime Ivy School, and the Discovery Preschool.

​

Local Success - I co-led the effort to create the Rogue X, which is a world-class facility that benefits the entire community with sports, events, and the ability for children to safely learn how to swim.

​

Oregon is a firewall against the Trump administration, and the Democratic Party must maintain this Senate Seat. I have proven myself as a Medford City Councilor, and will fight like hell to get things done for our community as a State Senator.
